The day was cloudy with some drizzle but water visibility turned out very good at about 4 - 8m.
This was our first dive with an underwater camera, so some trial an error took place during the dive.
I quickly found out that taking pictures with the built in flash just illuminated the specs and turbidity in the water in front of the subject, so I quickly disabled it.
From then on pictures came out much better, although a little fuzzy with fast moving creatures, so I ended up sticking to just taking video.
We managed to get to the cave much quicker than expected, and spent about 10mins there before having to turn back just below the half way air point [120bar].
We decided to come back directly and not via the wall to save time which proved a mistake, as swimming over the kelp made us lose direction more easily and thus we had to surface early to find out where we were. We actually were heading in the right direction but still had about 150 to 200m to go.
So we descended again and continued to shore.
Overall and excellent dive and was quite surprised at the better than average video and picture quality taken on our first attempt.
Sited: Blue Groper, Cuttle fish, Baby Port Jackson Shark, Cave and Urinal.
Dive Time: 55mins - Depth Max: 9.6m - Temperature: 18C
